Olga was studying at her desk in the library at Saba one Saturday when Angad decided to come and sit next to her. While staring at her, he caught a glimpse of her iTunes podcasts and astutely noted they were astonishingly similar to his own. It was love at first sight…actually, it was love at first see, with my ear.
Their first date was in Toronto… their second date was in India… their third date was in Washington, DC… and their fourth date was in Miami, Florida.
Our first official trip together was a volunteer mission to Guatemala and Mexico, where countless memories were created – including camping overnight in subzero temperatures adjacent to an active volcano, exploring the Mayan ruins, and base jumping off an old wooden bridge (only Angad).
Angad was going to propose to Olga at the Above & Beyond Acoustic show in Toronto. But things don’t always turn out as planned… he proposed on May 13, 2016, at Toronto’s beautiful Lakeshore. Find out what happened (at the wedding).
On our trip to India & Thailand in the summer of 2017, we fed the elephants, cooked Thai food and embarked on a spiritual journey – portrayed through our Sak Yant Tattoos.
In March 2017, Angad matched into Internal Medicine at Norwalk Hospital, a Yale University program. Everyone was thrilled when Olga also matched into the same residency program in March 2018.
