“If somebody had Angad’s heart and Anthony’s skill, they would be a pretty much unbeatable hockey player.” We have been connected since Angad just showed up at my door one blistering, hot summer afternoon and asked if I wanted to play hockey – we were the only 2 young lads on our street. The days were spent playing roller hockey and the nights gallivanting around discretely. It’s easy to lose people as you are growing up, but finding each other again is pretty special, just like you are to me.

The world is round, they say, but when we are together it is rather upside down. Although I’m from Ohio, my friendship with Olga and Angad was forged in Miami where they came to visit many times (possibly because of the weather). Olga worked with my father at his Family Medicine practice in Ohio last year, and had a chance to meet my entire family there. Cheers to Olga & Angad on their next adventure together, and to many more nights under the electric sky!

Eugene
I met Angad in grade 8, and although we went to separate schools after, we remained close friends. A few years later I met my wife Marcela at Angad’s party. Marcela and I are very excited to share this special day with Angad and Olga.

Eveline
Hi, I’m Eveline!! To make a long story short, Angad and I became siblings during medical school (I’m his favorite big sister). I’m currently living in Baltimore, MD doing my intern year in Internal Medicine. From day one, we have loved each other (and hated at times), like all siblings do. Each phase in our lives brought us closer together, and now I’m blessed that he gave me a new sister: Olga! It is of note that when I found the love of my life (Yan), and Angad found Olga, we were also brought back to each other. Angad is my brother and because we are family, we will always stay connected. I look forward to celebrating in Jamaica and spending much more time together – all 4 of us – and growing together, enjoying life as only we can.

An unfortunate series of events caused by unhinged stage parents drove my child-star career dreams into the ground. This, in turn, freed me go and explore the world. At an airport of a destination where I knew no one and my future was uncertain, my path crossed that of an amazing soul: Olga. Days turned into several weeks in a beautiful place, getting to know a most beautiful friend. Olga introduced me to other amazing people, who in turn also became life-long friends. With them, I also discovered other parts of the world, as I love exploring new places. But in all my explorations, I have yet to find something more pleasurable than true friendship. Yes, I love traveling, but also chocolate and Angad’s DJ mixes—which have yet to surface in my mailbox. See you all in Jamaica. Ps: I’m only coming because I want to dance.

kalina
I’m Kalina from Austria and I met Angad through Martin in Vienna after they spent a week in Ibiza together. The impression I got, although the boys could barely keep their eyes open, was a very kind and amusing one. I am happy to be invited for this special occasion and can’t wait to see Angad again and to meet his beautiful fiancée Olga for the first time. The destination and the program you chose is marvelous and I’m so happy to be part of it. As for myself, I studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and now I’m running the printing studio of original graphics Kurt Zein. Kurt Zein ran his studio successfully for the last fifty years. In this time he established himself and his workshop to an institution of art and culture in the national and international field of the art scene. His quality and his passion brought him an excellent reputation and trust from fellow artists. In these 50 years, he worked together with some of the most valued artists in the world. I overtook his printing studio last year and I feel very honored and excited to enter this heritage. Besides printing and art, I am also a very open-minded person and I would love to explore the island and make some trips there so I would be happy if anyone would like to join!

kuba
Hi, I’m Kuba, a tall guy from Poland…and I have been friends with Angad since we met in Madrid 7 years ago on the football field. Having had so much fun together in Spain, we had no choice but to keep fostering the friendship. We traveled together around Europe and the States chasing good music and fun nights. I’ve learned tons from Angad about American & Indian culture, how to dance in Bollywood way plus a few English phrases like “partner in crimes” – that one both metaphorically and in practice ;-). PS – we both love going to raves, p——-xxxxxxxx

kuldip
Namaste everyone, Kuldip here, and most of you know me as Angad’s brother 🙂 What can I say about this guy, if I have to choose one word that can describe him, it would be “life”. Being a friend of Angad’s was just too easy from the beginning, as who would not want to be part of his circle of radiant energy. His charismatic personality to his idea of living larger than life, he has always created so many beautiful moments in the lives that he has touched, I am sure of it. To all the pre-drink parties we hosted, to all the raves we’ve been part of, and to all the little happy moments we shared, here I am looking forward to this grand finale in Montego Bay now 🙂 See you all there!

laura
I’ve known Angad for some time now, when we first met in Spanish class and he would copy all my homework about a minute before the start. Over the years, we became very close over cups of late-night tea with monkeys at my house, watching ridiculous videos, going to salsa clubs and enjoying the summer days at the beach. We kind of grew up but whenever we are together, we act like the same kids we were when we met in 2009. I am currently in Costa Rica teaching English and cannot wait to hang out with Olga and Angad together in Jamaica.

I live in Miami, Florida and love dancing the night away with Olga and Angad in the city that brought them together! I am a former Politico turned event planner who loves traveling and chicken fingers but most importantly, brunching with friends.

Martin
Hi I am Martin from Austria and I met Angad at “Electric Festival” in Barcelona at 2011. We stayed in touch and met each other again in Toronto, Ibiza and Vienna where a great friendship evolved over time. I am working as a materials scientist in the oil business in Vienna and I am traveling with my friend Kalina (an artist) to Jamaica, to celebrate Angads and Olgas wedding. We are staying for one week in Jamaica and we are looking forward to meet you all.

Masha
Hello everyone! My name is Masha. I am a close friend of Olya’s all the way back from high school! I was born in Belarus, raised in Canada and currently working and living in France. I am happy to be a part of such a beautiful moment and can’t wait to meet everyone! Also I’m a very active traveller so if anyone wants to go exploring or hiking or trying the local cuisine let’s get in touch as I’m planning to do all of that! See you all in May!

Matt
Are you blind? These are the words that started a friendship in August 2012.
I first met Angad in medical school and we became close friends instantly. I have so many fond memories during that time including post-block parties, floor hockey tournaments, exam study sessions, heart to heart discussions while sitting outside of the library as well as killing cockroaches in the trunk of his car. During our clinical rotations, we were separated (often at opposite ends of the country) but always made an effort to talk over the phone or FaceTime. We have been on several unforgettable trips, including many music festivals and nights out.
The close friendship that I share with him has extended to his family. I am considered a brother and son in his home. I always look forward to trips to Toronto to visit his parents. They always make me feel welcome. I even have an unofficial bedroom in their house!
I also met Olga in medical school. I like to think that I am the reason that Angad and Olga met. I believe that my proximity to Olga in the library helped to facilitate their first encounter. I really got to know Olga during the time that we spent in Miami. Olga is an intelligent woman with a bright future. She is a free spirit and an absolute perfect match for Angad. I am so glad that she has become such an important part of my life.
I am proud to have two best friends and I am honored to be a part of their big day. I look forward to the wedding in Jamaica and sharing new memories during this happy time in their lives.

Memy
Olya and I met in 2000 in ESL class when neither of really spoke English. Despite the language barrier, we became friends and the rest is history! We have truly grown up together and even though we didn’t attend the same schools or even live in the same neighbourhood, we managed to keep in touch and grow closer as the years passed. From adventures at the mall when we were in our early teens and some pretty crazy parties in high school to traveling all over the world, Olya has always been a true friend and dare I say a life partner (sorry Angad!)
When I think back to a few years ago, I distinctly remember Olya telling me about a cute guy at the library who loved the same music as her … little did I know that the cute guy from the library would be her future husband! Over the years, I had the chance to find out a lot about Angad through Olya’s eyes and although I had spoken to him over the phone and via social media, I never really got to know him. It wasn’t until last December, that I got to see what kind of man he really is. It was the evening of December 24th when my husband and I arrived in NYC to spend Christmas and New Year’s. To our unpleasant surprise, our AirBnB hosts disappeared and we were left stranded in a city we didn’t know in the middle of the night on Christmas Eve. Being the amazing people they are, Olya and Angad offered that we stay with Angad in Norwalk. What was supposed to be a day or two crashing on the couch ended up being our full 10-day vacation staying with Angad. We felt so at home and got a chance to spend quality time with him. We will always be grateful not just for the great generosity and kindness, but for the amazing memories we made with him.
Can’t wait to celebrate with the happy couple and everyone there! See you all in paradise!

Misha
Hi, I am Misha and I am from Prague. Angad and I have been friends since 2011 when we first met at an Erasmus picnic at the Retiro Park in Madrid – the first great memory of many. Whether it was a trip to Valencia, a road-trip to Santander and Salamanca, ice-skating (Angad flying around in his Canada hockey jersey), Wednesdays at 100 Montaditos….basically, pretty much every event in Spain as well as our reunion in Vienna a few years later. And now, I am so excited to add more soon. See you in Jamaica!

PAM
Olga- the girl who can always be found with a smile on her face, always surrounded by her loved ones, and ALWAYS listening to good tunes with a heavy bass in the backdrop.
So this is the story all about how my life got flipped-turned upside down by the couple we’ve all come to know as ”Olgangad” :-p
Olga and I got to know each other in the most intimate of settings – an organic chemistry class in second year university. I knew of Olga through our mutual best friend, Memy, but it wasn’t until that fateful day in chemistry class where we sat and synthesized less than exciting chemical reactions on paper, that I knew a real-life bond was being made. We laughed, we danced like idiots and we talked about all of the things we aspired to do if we could ever gather the courage to actually do them.
One by one we all parted ways to pursue our dreams – Olga went off to medical school, I was off to do my Master’s abroad, Memy left to work abroad, and Kai went off to grad school. One thing became particularly clear – Olga was the definition of strong and independent. But with this notion also came the realization that no one person could ever quite keep up with her…
One day, Olga tells us that she’s met someone at med school. When I finally get the chance to meet him, I was a bit taken aback. How would I describe Angad? The guy who can always be found with a smile on his face, always surrounded by his loved ones, and ALWAYS listening to good tunes with a heavy bass in the backdrop.
From the little glances they exchange, to sweet gestures they surprise each other with, to their love of music and travel, it has become evident that Olga and Angad are the real deal. I’m Above & Beyond excited (sorry I couldn’t resist!) to celebrate this special couple on their special day and I can’t wait to see what life has in store for this power couple.

Rahul
I am Angad’s surrogate older brother. We met in 2007, at York University, when Angad was just 18 years old. (defying the space-time continuum, Angad has managed to remain 18 throughout the intervening 11 years.) Despite our lives having taken us in many different directions during that time, both physically and professionally, we have remained extremely close friends, united, perhaps, by a shared desire to do God’s work — Angad as a doctor, healing the sick, and Rahul as a lawyer for a large bank [note sarcasm]… More likely, however, by our shared enjoyment of late-night hangouts, diverse musical genres, hours-long catch-ups over scotch, and our ability to pick up right where we left off when we see each other, no matter how infrequently. I am thrilled for Angad that he has found the love of his life in Olga, and I wish them both a lifetime of happiness together!

TATY
Hi! I’m Tatyana from Miami. I met Olga and Angad in Miami where we bonded over our love of music. It’s amazing how such a wonderful friendship developed from just a few nights out in Miami. We stayed in touch of course, but as life would have it we crossed paths again when I moved to NYC at the same time Angad moved to Brooklyn and then Connecticut. Angad and Olga are absolutely the sweetest people I have ever met and have the most contagious positive energy. Their heartwarming kindness, their power to forge beautiful friendships, and their willingness to do anything for their friends are traits I admire so much from them. I am so lucky to call them friends and I am so excited to be in Jamaica with them for this incredibly special moment in their lives!

yatin
Hi everyone! My name is Yatin, a random brown guy from Brampton (I know right!)… I’ve known Angad for little over a year and a half. A completely RANDOM series of events brought us together and what now feels like an eternal friendship. We met during a medical residency interview in Toronto. Having completely bombed the interview, both of us decided it would be a great idea to get drinks at the local bar. It was love at first site on our blind date and we definitely hit it off :P. From our very first interaction, it truly felt as if Angad was my long-lost brother.
Our passion and enthusiasm for cars, trains, and travel (and much more) extended all the way to India when I met up with him in Lucknow in May 2017 while he was off touring the world as usual. Angad’s charming and supportive personality has helped me immensely along every single step in my pursuit for medical residency and beyond – I wouldn’t be in the position I am in today without him. I will be starting residency this July in Brooklyn, NY – not too far from Olga and Angad!
I am grateful for the opportunity to have met a true, genuine friend, and brother I am extremely happy for Olga and Angad and I can’t wait to celebrate this special occasion with everyone! Looking forward to meeting everyone!
